From 16 to 20 June 2025, the Faculty of Horticulture at Mendel University in Brno hosted the international Erasmus+ BIP Summer School titled “Sustainable Horticulture of the 21st Century: From Theory to Practice.” The program combined both online and in-person formats and welcomed students from several European universities.

The topics focused on sustainability, innovation in horticulture, renewable resources, and environmental impact. Students took part in hands-on laboratory workshops, visited companies such as Sonnentor Čejkovice and Vitrotree Šakvice, explored hydroponics, microscopy techniques, and the use of waste products from viticulture.

The program also included a guided tour of the Lednice park and chateau, with a focus on landscape heritage.

The summer school offered a unique combination of practical skills, expert knowledge, and international collaboration.
