The Faculty of Horticulture at Mendel University in Lednice hosted a vegetable salad tasting event, offering visitors a wide range of flavors and inspiration for their cooking. Participants were able to taste a total of ten different salad variations – from traditional recipes to unusual combinations of ingredients and flavors.
Each salad was carefully prepared and aesthetically arranged, which was appreciated not only by lovers of good food, but also by those who appreciate the visual aspect of dishes. The event was complemented by a floral arrangement made from harvested vegetables, which emphasized the autumn atmosphere and showed that vegetables can be not only tasty but also beautiful.
An interesting addition was a vote for the most popular salad. Visitors selected three winning recipes:
🥇 1st place: Leek salad
🥈 2nd place: Autumn pumpkin salad
🥉 3rd place: Jerusalem artichoke salad
Participants could also take home recipes for their favorite salads and try them at home.
