Introducing plant biodiversity as a key to a better life for us, humans, and for other living organisms that share the blue planet with us.

8. 4. 2026

A team of staff members from four partner institutions — the National Agricultural and Food Centre (NPPC), BROZ – Conservation Association, Mendel University in Brno (MENDELU), and the National Centre for Agricultural and Food Research (CARC) — will introduce participants to the Interreg Slovakia–Czechia international cooperation project and its efforts to support the protection and restoration of biodiversity in the cross-border regions of the White Carpathians.

The aim of the project is to bring back the biodiversity of wild plant species and their insect pollinators — bees, bumblebees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects — into the open landscape, and to raise awareness among both the general public and professionals about the importance and protection of biodiversity in the everyday life of our society.

The project is co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg Slovak Republic – Czech Republic 2021–2027 programme.
