The 18th annual Meeting with Secondary School Principals and Representatives took place in Lednice on Wednesday and Thursday, March 25–26, 2026. The event is traditionally organized by the Faculty of Horticulture at Mendel University (MENDELU).

The workshop was held under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Ing. Patrik Burg, Ph.D. The academic guarantor of the event was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ing. Petr Salaš from the Faculty of Horticulture at MENDELU, who was also involved in its organization.

The program focused on current topics in vocational education, cooperation between secondary schools and professional associations, and linking education with practice. The main goal was to strengthen partnerships, exchange up-to-date information, and discuss opportunities for further development of cooperation, including sharing experiences from ongoing and planned projects.

During the two-day program, participants had the opportunity to engage in discussion sessions focused on innovations in education, current developments in the education sector, and collaboration with industry and professional organizations. The event also included a field excursion, offering participants inspiration directly from practice.

The meeting once again confirmed the importance of cooperation between secondary schools, the university, and the professional sector. Sharing experiences and open discussion play a key role in the continued development of high-quality vocational education.
