The Faculty of Horticulture of Mendel University in Brno took part in the European Fair of Post-Secondary and Lifelong Education Gaudeamus Prague 2026, held from 20 to 22 January 2026 at the PVA Expo Prague exhibition centre.
The 18th edition of the fair recorded a record attendance, welcoming 20,592 visitors, including more than 500 secondary-school teachers and career counsellors. Compared to the previous year, attendance increased by over 3,000 visitors, confirming Gaudeamus as a key platform for connecting universities with prospective students.
The Faculty of Horticulture MENDELU stand was visited mainly by secondary-school students interested in horticulture, landscape architecture, viticulture and other nature-oriented fields. Faculty representatives provided information on study programmes, admission procedures, opportunities for internships, and career prospects for graduates, while answering applicants’ specific questions.
Participation in Gaudeamus Prague 2026 once again highlighted the importance of personal contact with prospective students and helped present the unique character of studying in Lednice as well as the strong academic background of Mendel University in Brno.
